Egon Egemann ist durch viele grosse, internationale Fernsehauftritte einem breiten Publikum bekannt. Der Geiger studierte Klassik und Jazz in Graz und Wien und kam nach einem längeren Amerika - Aufenthalt (Berklee College of Music), wo er auch Stephane Grapelli persönlich kennen lernte, in die Schweiz.
Hier arbeitete er mehrere Jahre bei Radio DRS mit der DRS Bigband als Geiger und Produzent und erfüllte gleichzeitig seine Aufgabe als Programmgestalter in der Abteilung U-Musik. Seit Anfang der 90-er Jahre hat Egon Egemann sein eigenes Tonstudio, wo Musikprojekte verschiedenster Art realisiert werden. Die Vorliebe für Jazz und Weltmusik manifestiert sich in Egon's musikalischen Projekten immer stärker.
2003 kommt es zum Release des Celtic Rock Album's "Let it out"(Phonag) mit Two Generations. Mit dieser Band schafft es Egon zusammen mit den Startänzern von Riverdance und Lord of the Dance im Rahmen der Show "Skydance" auf die grosse internationale Bühne. Im Frühling 2004 trifft Egon anlässlich des Augsburger Django Memorial auf die Gypsy Jazz Ikone Robin Nolan, der sich spontan für dessen revolutionäre Ideen begeistern lässt. Der darauf folgenden Zusammenarbeit zwischen den beiden Musikern entspringt der Titel "Django" (featuring Robin Nolan) und der dazugehörige Videoclip. Das Projekt "Mad Manoush" ist geboren. Das dazugehörige Album "Gadjo" wird bei
Sony BMG Anfang 2006 veröffentlicht. Es folgte das zweite Album "The Gypsy Revolution". Beide Alben konnten sich in den Top 10 der European Worldmusic Charts platzieren!
In der Folge konnte sich Egon Egemann auf grossen internationalen Bühnen profilieren. Dazu gehören unter anderem: Montreux Jazzfestival, Bardentreffen Nürnberg, Rock Oz'Arenes Avenche, Openair St. Gallen CH, Heitere Openair CH, Ostclub Wien, Fonnefeesten Belgien, Cosmopolis Festival Griechenland, Gampel Openair CH, United Islands Festival Prag, Lowlands Festival NL , Oerol Festival Terschelling NL, Festival Rabat Africa uva.

Mit seiner in Amerika entdeckten und in Europa nur selten angewandten "Choping-Technik" verblüfft Egemann in seinen Konzerten das begeisterte Publikum. Die unbändige, grenzgängerische Neugier bildete beim Weltmusiker und Geiger Egemann die treibende Kraft, seinen unzähligen musikalischen Projekten ein weiteres hinzuzufügen: E A N N Project - Unchained Violin - ein Mix aus keltischen Klängen und klassich synfonischen Elementen, die als kraftvoller Crossover verschiedene Genres miteinander verbinden.
Weltmusik, die Lust zum Tanzen macht – egal ob sie vom Balkan, aus dem traditionellen alpenländischen Raum oder aus anglo-amerikanischen Gefielden stammt. Sowohl als Tanzmusik als auch in konzertanter Form unterstreicht der Sound des Ensembles die Virtuosität der einzelnen Musiker und zeigt die farbige Vielfältigkeit der Musik mit globalem Identitätscharakter.
2020 wird Egon Egemann der Kulturpreis der Stadt Wohlen (CH) für sein musikalisches und kreatives Schaffen verliehen.

Egon Egemann is widely known to a broad audience through numerous major international television appearances. The violinist studied classical music and jazz in Graz and Vienna before spending an extended period in the United States (Berklee College of Music), where he personally met Stéphane Grappelli. After his time in America, he moved to Switzerland.
There, he worked for several years at Radio DRS with the DRS Big Band as a violinist and producer while also serving as a program designer in the entertainment music department. Since the early 1990s, Egon Egemann has had his own recording studio, where he realizes a variety of musical projects. His passion for jazz and world music has become increasingly evident in his musical endeavors.
In 2003, he released the Celtic rock album Let It Out (Phonag) with the band Two Generations. With this group, Egon, together with the star dancers from Riverdance and Lord of the Dance, made it onto the big international stage as part of the show Skydance.
In the spring of 2004, Egon met Gypsy jazz icon Robin Nolan at the Augsburg Django Memorial. Nolan was immediately captivated by Egemann’s revolutionary ideas. Their collaboration led to the creation of the track Django (featuring Robin Nolan) and an accompanying music video. This marked the birth of the Mad Manoush project. With his chopping technique, discovered in America but rarely used in Europe, he astonishes audiences at his concerts. His boundless, border-crossing curiosity has always been the driving force behind his numerous musical projects.
One such project is E A N N Project featuring Egon Egemann as Solo Violinist – a mix of Celtic sounds, classic synphonic and innovative, genre-defying elements. This world music invites audiences to dance, whether influenced by Balkan rhythms, Classical Music, or Anglo-American styles. Both as dance music and in concert form, the ensemble’s sound showcases the virtuosity of its musicians and highlights the colorful diversity of music with a globally identifiable character.
In 2020, Egon Egemann was awarded the Cultural Prize of the City of Wohlen (Switzerland) for his musical and creative achievements.
